Studio Riga is a boutique interior design firm led by Jenny Vorhoff. Born and raised in New Orleans, Jenny grew up surrounded by artists, architecture, entrepreneurs, and creators. Good design was embedded in all of her surroundings having a strong impact on the young designer.
It was at the University of Georgia where she gained her solid base of formal art & design education. After graduating with a BFA from the Lamar Dodd School of Art she moved to New York. Working for a top-ranked hospitality design firm she included some of the world’s most exclusive hotel groups as clients. Designing textiles, floor coverings, lighting, guestrooms, spas and everything in between for these hoteliers is where she realized her passion for the details of the environments. Jenny has taken this design sensibility required for such varied clientele and adapted it to high-end residential design.
Studio Riga began accepting commissions in the Spring of 2006. Though the projects continue to range in scale and location, all are approached with a consistent design philosophy which is the backbone of all Studio Riga work. “Good design inspires you to have a better day, enjoy your family and friends more.” When she speaks about her work she says more about the way the spaces are experienced by her clients than the heritage of the pieces used. This credence is evident by her graceful interiors, infused with fresh colors palettes and comfortable moments - the singing common thread in her work. Jenny was recently named to Luxe Magazine's Gold List designers.
The name Studio Riga is an acknowledgement to both her maiden name, Rigamer, and her understanding that interiors are created by many – artists, craftsmen and designers. She currently lives in New York City with her husband, four children, & yellow lab in Tribeca and still calls New Orleans home.
